Laminar flow cabinets are designed to protect the product and working area from airborne contamination. A laminar flow cabinet is an enclosed workstation that creates a clean working environment by passing incoming air through filtration systems that capture airborne particles.
Ambient air enters the cabinet through a pre-filter located in the upper section. The pre-filter helps protect the HEPA filter from coarse dust particles and extends its service life.
After passing through the HEPA filter, the filtered air is supplied to the working area at a controlled velocity. The cabinet airflow is designed to minimize dead zones and maintain uniform air distribution throughout the work area.
A portion of the filtered air leaves the cabinet through the front opening. This continuous, controlled outward airflow helps prevent contaminated room air from entering the working zone. Another portion of the air is recirculated to improve airflow over the work surface and support longer filter service life.
